This series of images captures fragments of ice scattered along the beach at Jökulsárlón, where the glacier meets the sea. Shaped by water, wind, and time, the ice takes on forms that feel unexpectedly familiar. Within the translucent blocks and smoothed edges, suggestions of animals emerge, whales rising from the surface, seals resting along the shore, and more abstract, almost mythical creatures that exist somewhere between recognition and imagination.

The photographs invite the viewer to slow down and look closely. Each piece of ice becomes a temporary sculpture, constantly reshaped by the elements, never fixed or permanent. Light passing through the ice reveals subtle textures and inner structures, enhancing the sense of life within these frozen forms. Together, the images blur the line between nature and perception, turning the Icelandic shoreline into a place where animals seem to appear and disappear, carved momentarily out of ice before returning to the sea.
